With a focus on quality and flavor, BC’s apple orchards are known for their vibrant, crisp varieties, such as Ambrosia, which was developed in the Similkameen Valley, alongside other popular favourites such as Gala and Honeycrisp.
As Canada’s leading cherry marketing company, it is not surprising that many growers have asked us to work with them on apples in recent years, so this is an area of our business that we have been developing whilst taking care to partner with only the best growers and packing facilities. Just as we do with cherries, we place our own quality teams on site to ensure the apples always meet the highest standards of taste, texture, and appearance – only the best make the cut.

Ambrosia
A sweet, low-acid apple variety, Ambrosia originated in British Columbia in the early 1990s. Discovered by the Mennell family in the Similkameen Valley, this cultivar is known for its honeyed flavor and crisp, juicy texture. Its creamy flesh and smooth, bright red-yellow skin make it a popular choice for fresh eating.
Gala
Gala apples are known for their mild, sweet flavor and crisp yet tender texture. This orange-red striped apple originated in New Zealand in the 1930s. It’s perfect for snacking, baking, or adding a touch of sweetness to salads.
Honeycrisp
Developed at the University of Minnesota in the 1960s, Honeycrisp apples are celebrated for their exceptional crunch and balanced sweet-tart flavor. Their juicy flesh and bright red-green skin make them a favorite for fresh eating and cooking.
